We want to find the best talent in the Indianapolis area and give unsigned artists in the community the opportunity to showcase that they have the passion, heart, rhythm and “soul” it takes to be a phenomenal singing sensation!
If you are a resident of the state of Indiana and are a solo music artist, or part of a duo, trio, quartet, group or choir, and you think you have what it takes to be the “soul” survivor of this competitive talent search, then this is the contest for you!

Inspired by the phenomena of Star Search® and American Idol®, Soul Search 2012™ is an Indianapolis-based singing competition for male and female legends-in-the-making from 5 to 50 years old to vie for the coveted big break to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the first and only celebrity basketball game to have ever become sanctioned by the National Football League as an official Super Bowl event, Gridiron Celebrity Hoops XIV™. Now, independently produced exclusively by Jam Sports Productions, LLC, Gridiron Celebrity Hoops XIV will feature Future Hall of Famer NFL player Terrell “T.O.” Owens, WNBA MVP of 2011 Tamika Catchings, and Welterweight Boxing Champion Floyd Mayweather.

The winner of Soul Search™ will sing the National Anthem in front of thousands of sports fans, celebrities, streetballers, professional athletes, NFL players, and national media during Super Bowl XLVI weekend at Gridiron Celebrity Hoops XIV, at Butler University Hinkle Fieldhouse on February 4, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. Complete with energizing crowd interactive activities, free autographs and photographs, this celebrity basketball game is literally great fun for all ages. The Soul Search finalist will receive a cash prize of five hundred dollars ($500) and merchandise and prizes totaling over one thousand dollars ($1,000) in value. The winner(s) are also treated as celebrities for the day as they get to walk the Step and Repeat Green Carpet, interview with the national and international media, and meet celebrities from the sports and entertainment industries.

Soul Search auditions will be held at Butler University's Pharmacy Building Room 107 located at 4600 Sunset Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday, January 28th, 2012, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  This tournament-style competition has a four-judge celebrity panel that will make the winning determination by assessing each performance until two remain for a final competition to determine the grand-prize winner. This wonderful, fine arts competition is ABSOLUTELY FREE to all Indiana residents.

The entertainment industry is constantly looking for new faces and gifted voices.  The challenge often is letting the execs know you exist.  Allow Soul Search to grant you national exposure of your singing ability by providing a video recording of your live performance at Gridiron Celebrity Hoops XIV, a posting of your performance on YouTube, professional photography and a host of other perks to help jump-start your career.  Be a celebrity for the day, sign autographs for fans and become a part of the Big Game weekend history!
